Tips for a Safe Halloween
Halloween Costume Swap
Here’s how …
Anytime between now and October 11th, participants are encouraged to drop off swap-able costumes during business hours at one of these locations:
- Small Threads for Kids | 1480 NW Gilman Blvd # 3 | Issaquah
- CleanScapes Store in Gilman Village | 317 NW Gilman Blvd, #22 | Issaquah
In exchange for costume(s) you will be given a Swap Ticket to be brought back for the event on October 12th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Small Threads for Kids.
If you’re a little reluctant to give swapping a try, local businesses are providing great incentives. In addition to swapping, you can also shop with 20% discount off purchases at Small Threads and get a discount at Adventure Kids Playcare. To make sure you get to the swap on time, AKP is opening early at 7:00 am. If you’re new to AKP, be sure you’ve filled out 1st Visit Forms. Both offers are only valid during the event on October 12th.
If you are a community business interested in participating as a sponsor (including our Swag Bag program), please contact Danaatdanav@macaronikid.com.

MOPS Hosted Breakfast at MQP
July Mom’s Night Out

July 23rd– Our July MNO- Manicures and/or Pedicures as well as drinks and appetizers at Simone’s. Issaquah Nails(right next to the Sammamish Safeway) will stay after normal working hours for our MOPS group to do manicures and pedicures. They will be well staffed and MOPS members will be able to start being pampered at 7:00 p.m. Start times will be staggered for people based on when they can make it. 10 or so people should be able to be pampered at once. Those who are finished with their nails, waiting for their nail appointment, or prefer not to get their nails done will be enjoying themselves at Simone’s(across the street from the nail place) sipping on a drink and/or eating appetizers. A new BABY!
Kids’ Food Drive @ MQP
Next weekend marks the last weekend for the Food Drive for Kids at MQP. There are still lots of bags left to fill!! The food drive benefits the Issaquah Food Bank & the items are for kids summer breakfast & lunch programs while school is out. Many of these children otherwise struggle to get balanced, healthy, meals or a meal at all.
You can pick up a bag in the MQP Narthex (right inside the main front doors on a table) & return it any time to the table with the items listed on the bag (shown in the photo below). The list is attached to a reusable bag that you can fill with the requested items, making it just that much easier to help the kids out!
