Looking for a holiday idea for the kids (as if you were lacking!)? How about honoring the tradition of St. Nicholas Day? I have to give credit where credit is due, Monica C. turned me onto this project last year & I blogged about it on my personal blog. There’s a St. Nick to print out & have the kids color by clicking HERE.
Saint Nicholas Day celebrates the life of Saint Nicholas of Myra, a fourth-century bishop best known today as the real-life model for Santa Claus. The tradition says that children leave out their shoes, and St. Nick will fill their shoes with candies, treats, etc. (assuming their good of course). So, on December 6th, have your kids color a St. Nick & put the coloring out by their shoes (we put our kids’ shoes outside their bedroom doors). Fill their shoes with treats for a fun St. Nicholas Day!
